Hok Lyda (Dr.)

Center Director

Dr. Hok Lyda serves as Centre Director of CE SAIN. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from Royal University of Agriculture; Master of Science in Agronomy from Khon Kaen University, Thailand; and Ph.D. in Environmental Systems (Environmental Soil Science) from North Carolina A&T State University, the United States. He has experienced in teaching and research and coordinating various agriculture related research projects in Cambodia. Currently, Dr. Lyda is also a faculty member of Royal University of Agriculture (RUA).

Dr. Lyda’s duties at CE SAIN include reporting activities to RUA Administration, External Advisory Board and SIIL-CE SAIN Coordinator. He interacts and consults with the SIIL Director and SIIL-CE SAIN Coordinator and ensures there is an effective and active link between CE SAIN and USAID Cambodia Mission, and protocols are implemented to complete CE SAIN deliverables. He also collaborates and guides all employees in the center.

Mao Manel (Mr.)

Program Manager

Manel MAO serves as Program Manager of the Center of Excellence on Sustainable Agricultural Intensification and Nutrition (CE SAIN). He earned M.S. in Project Management from University of Management and Economic (UME). He has significant experiences in leading multi-development project and programs. He serves more than 10 years in senior management positions for the local and international organizations such World Wide Fund for Natura (WWF), Oxfam Great Britain (OGB), Caritas Cambodia and Rural Communication and Environment Development Organization (RCEDO).

His skills were developed through more than 8 years of practical experiences in managing multi-development projects, more than 10 year experiences in basket budget monitoring and management, more than 10 year of practical experiences in supervising staff, building staff capacities related to their job and managing staff performance appraisal, more than 10 year experiences in the management and leadership role, more than 8 years’ experience in concept note development and proposal writing for raising fund, and 5 year experiences in NGO partnership management.

Laing Thyda (Ms.)

Development Manager 

Miss. Laing Thyda serves as Development Manager of CE SAIN. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Information Technology and Engineering from Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), Bachelor Degree in Professional Communication from Institute of Foreign Languages (IFL) and Master Degree in Development Management from Norton University (NU). Miss. Laing Thyda worked with Hagar International Foundation since 2008, and in that time, she has progressed to become Monitoring and Evaluation Manager.

She will be responsible for creating business opportunities, establishment partnership for RUA/CE SAIN with multi-stakeholders such as universities, USG partners and local and international development agencies, foster environment collaboration and ensure CE SAIN is effective complied with donor’s requirement. She will also responsible for all M&E matters. She will provide technical advice to the program team on MEAL, design data collection methodologies, tools and compiling report for submission and frequency advice to the staff to ensure all project information are proper record and filed.

Un Vannak (Mrs.)

Business Manager 

Mrs. Un Vannak serves as the Business Manager of CE SAIN. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Finance Accounting from National University of Management (NUM). She is experienced in Financial Accounting at both LNGOs and INGOs, including producing financial report and Admin/Logistic supporting.

Vannak’s duties at CE SAIN is to ensure internal control and financial system (accrual, payment, data entry) and to effectively implement transparent and accountable manner in CE SAIN.  Also, make sure office, asset and inventories are properly managed in order to provide effective support to program team, manage Petty cash and cash on hand, and monitor cash in bank to ensure that CE SAIN has enough money to use for its operation. And provide technical assistance to Center Secretary to organize lecture series, international workshop and conference as requested by PM and others.

Sar Pisey (Mrs.)

Program Officer

Miss. Sar Pisey serves as the Center Secretary of CE SAIN. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Agronomy Science from Royal University of Agriculture (RUA), Undergraduate Exchange Program from Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, the Czech Republic. She is experienced in event preparation, and research activities with both national and international partners and project assistance.

Pisey’s duties at CE SAIN include ensuring functioning of administrative and logistic work in the office, supporting Center Director and Program manager with day to day activities, Development Manager and Business Manager in area of publication and procurement, assisting in hosting the visitors, translating the official documents, coordinating in the lecture series and non-degree training, working closely with RUA in term of administrative work and event preparation, and contributing the support to the research and scholarship program.

Nov Sina (Ms.) 

Communication Officer

Ms. Nov Sina serves as Communication officer of CE SAIN. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Media and Communication from Royal University of Phnom Penh. She experienced working with NGOs, News Media, and other private sectors in graphic designs, News writing, and videography. 

She will ensure of CE SAIN and donor's branding and visibilities are implemented accordingly. She is responsible to establish a good relationship with multi-stakeholders, private sector, and government officials. She is responsible for producing market and extension materials such as leaflet, ATP description, Interaction guide, Case study, and brochure for the project. In addition, she will handle with media folk, write and edit contents on social media and website, and prepare CE SAIN information packages.

Nhim Leakena (Ms.)

Administrative and Accountant Officer

Ms.Ngim Leakena  serves as Administrative and Accountant officer of CE SAIN.She earned her Bachelor Degree in Accounting  from Vanda institute. She experienced in accounting at both company SMR and ASP, including producing financial report ,tax declare, admin/logistic supporting.

Leakena’s duties at CE SAIN include as follows: She is ensure the administrative and procurement work is smoothly implemented, ensure office asset and inventory of the project are properly register and managed, Assist business manager insuring  CE SAIN financial system (accrual, payment, data entry) to be effectively implemented, transparent an d accountable manner, Provide technical assistance to Center Secretary toorganize lecture series, BA. scholarship matters, international workshop and conference as requested by PM and others, Ensure CASF project and CAST project are properly complied with CE SAIN and donors’ policy and requirements, and Other task assign by supervisor/management

Noun Sopheak (Ms.)

Farm Manager (CE SAIN 01) 

Ms. Noun Sopheak serves as the Farm Manager of CE SAIN at RUA, Phnom Penh. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Agronomy Science from Royal University of Agriculture (RUA). She is experienced in farm inspection, report writing and certification and training provision that focuses on “EU and NOP organic standards and internal control system management to organic farmer cooperatives in Preah Vihear province.

Her duties at CE SAIN include managing Technology Park in Phnom Penh following technical guidance from the management team of CE SAIN and promoting the model farm being implemented by Technology Park to farmers, private sectors and visitors. Mr. TAL Sokly serves as the Farm Manager of CE SAIN. He earned his Bachelor Degree in Agronomy from Royal University of Agriculture (RUA). He is experinced in managing and coaching farmers to produce safe vegetables in Kompot and Takoe province.

Thea Thol (Mr.)

Farm Manager (CE SAIN 04) 

Mr. Thol Thea serves as the  Farm Manager of CE SAIN 04. He earned his Bachelor Degree in Agronomy Science from Royal University of Agriculture (RUA). He worked as an English teacher at Bright Time International School, he is experience on teaching, then he worked as a Field Agent at Project Alba (Cambodia) Company to help the farmer to produce the safe vegetable in Takeo province and Kampot province, then he worked as a Testing Field Manager Assistance of  Project Alba Company he worked on crops testing, crops development and crops experiment, after that he worked as the Farm Manager of Project Alba’s own farm for large scale of vegetable production that focus on lettuce production in Takeo province.

His duties at CE SAIN include caretaker and managing Agricultural Technology Park in Siem Reap province following technical guidance from the management team of CE SAIN and promoting the model farm being implemented by Technology Park to farmers, private sectors and visitors. Also, provide assistance to visitors/researchers/US partners/students/interns when they carry out their activities at the Technology Park and build good relationship with model farmers, local authority and relevant stakeholders in Siem Reap province.

Bun Chansereyvuth (Mr.)

Farm manager (CE SAIN 05)

Mr. BUN Chansereyvuth serves as the Farm Manager of CE SAIN. He earned his Bachelor Degree in Management from National University of Management (NUM) and Bachelor of Science of Extension and Rural Development from Prekleap National College of Agriculture (PNCA). He is experienced in designing and leading farm and in coordinating and building community capacity on horticulture.

Sereyvuth’s duties at CE SAIN include managing Technology Park in Battambang province following technical guidance from the management team of CE SAIN and promoting the model farm being implemented by Technology Park to farmers, private sectors and visitors. Also, provide assistance to visitors/researchers/US partners/students/interns when they carry out their activities at the Technology Park and build good relationship with model farmers, local authority and relevant stakeholders in Battambang province.
