Ms. Ean Sopheak serves as an Aquaculture Technical Officer at The Center of Excellence on Sustainable Agricultural Intensification and Nutrition (CE SAIN). She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries from the Royal University of Agriculture (RUA). Prior to joining CE SAIN, Sopheak had an experienced Volunteer on Arch Seh island in Kep province Marine Conservation Cambodia. On top of it, she also used to be an Aquaculture Intern for the Commercialization of Aquaculture for Sustainable Trade Project (CAST) of CE SAIN based at the Aquaculture Farm of the Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) in Phnom Penh.
At CE SAIN, Sopheak is responsible for various activities such as managing fish health and welfare throughout all tasks, leading the organization of meetings, training, and workshops for the CAST project, documenting and logging day-to-day activities, properly maintaining a calendar of all events at the aquaculture pond, communicating activities at the fishpond to CAST Project Coordinator, distributing communication materials provided by the project to farmers and visitors, attending the weekly and monthly meeting and share project progress to the field team,
be a focal person for the CAST project and manage good communication with locals, implement other tasks assigned by the Aquaculture Project Coordinator, examine the M & E tools in order to collect field data and update it effectively and accordingly, and work with administrative and accounting officer to manage the procurement process.
