Mr. Koun Pengly serves as a Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) Project Officer at CE SAIN. He received his Master of Science in Agricultural Resources from Kasetsart University (Thailand) in January 2022 and a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy (English-based Program) from the Royal University of Agriculture (Cambodia) in November 2018. His study is mainly focusing on the impact of conservation agriculture under different cropping systems for Cambodian upland soils. He is also interested in agricultural research on the sustainable food system and agricultural adoption among smallholder farmers in Cambodia. Before joining the CE SAIN team, Pengly worked as a volunteer instructor at the Faculty of Agronomy, Royal University of Agriculture. By the time he had worked as a consultant for NGOs and a part-time instructor for the University of Kratie.
At CE SAIN, Pengly is in charge of facilitating the training of international volunteers for local host organizations. He is also working on assessing the progress and challenges of the agricultural practices at the host after the volunteer’s assignment and conducting the impact assessment to ensure that the project can run smoothly and effectively.
