Por Sannchhi

Ms. Por Sannchhi serves as Agricultural Extension Officer for the Agricultural Technology Park of CE SAIN based in Kampong Thom. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from National Meanchey University, Banteay Meanchey. During university, she got a chance to conduct research, field testing, and practice in the laboratory by participating in a survey conducted by her lecturer on rice production and vegetable cropping in the livelihood USAID project funded in Banteay Meanchey. Sannchhi has prior experience as a technician at project Alba where she is responsible for conducting a daily report on irrigation, fertilizer, and environmental management.

As Agricultural Extension Officer, Sannchhi is in charge of providing agricultural extension and services to farmers on a regular basis against the work plan. One of which is to train farmers to keep records of their crops and animals and how to monitor their practices. She also supports farmers to develop agribusiness plans and build linkages with buyers, service providers, and marketing platforms to establish viable independent businesses. She works closely with Provincial Agricultural Coordinator in developing technical leaflets, technical manuals, and other extension materials of Sustainable Agricultural Intensification and Nutrition (SAIN) practices and innovations. Additionally, she maintains networks of collaboration with technical specialists to gather information and promote awareness of SAIN in the extension system.
