Mrs. Ra Sophearort obtained her bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics and rural development from Kampong Cham National School of Agriculture.
Prior to joining CE SAIN, Sophearort had been working as a senior project officer at Save the Children (NOURISH Project), project coordinator at World Church Service, and project officer at Hurredo. She has experience working with project partners to coordinate planning, budgeting, project implementation, monitoring and reporting on the progress and achievement of the project, and supporting the M&E system.
Her duties at CE SAIN include assisting the program manager (PM) in coordinating the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of programs and projects. She also supports PM with the consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans for all programs and projects. She collaborates with the communication team to produce case studies of projects, grantees, and other materials available for promoting and reporting purposes. Additionally, she reviews the reports from projects/partners/scholars to ensure quality, punctuality, and compliance with donors’ requirements. She furthermore assists PM in developing/revising the CE SAIN’s M&E system/frameworks/plans, M&E guidelines, and data collection tools. Within project implementation and management, she checks financial vouchers from all projects/scholars/thesis and research grantees to ensure compliance with financial guidelines as well as monitoring the projects/scholars/thesis and research grantees’ progress against the donors and CESAIN’s agreement
